--James Ross Sykes, Jr. (May 12, 2006)
Wallace, NC firefighter, president of Dixie General Contractors, Inc., and co-owner of Coastal Carolina Pumping and American Materials Corporation. Ross died in a head-on collision in Wallace when the other driver, Thomas Lee Pearce of Wilmington, crossed the centerline and ran into the Sykes Toyota Tundra.
